Digital Practices – Call and Response

CALL: RVK. The subject position of the ‘translocal artist’ holds possibilities to reflect and act upon the circulations, transfers, flows of a global networked society, and the politics of mobility affecting and controlling human movement. Forms of documentation reveal myriad intersections that influence and inform the findings and the collaborative research it maps.

RESPONSE: KI. It is understood that art as research reveals significant intellectual meanings and processes. While the myth of scientific certainty has diminished, multi-platformed submissions still remain problematic in academia where using web-enabled devices connote imaginary archiving and scientific investigations and written submission still imply tested and enduring knowledge.
