Sonic Encounter

The intersection of theory and practice has been a difficult terrain to navigate; reproducing sensations of sonic experience in commentary often results in a cleavage of non-translation. As a creative practitioner, I prefer a practice of theory where ideas and concepts are manifest into action, a thinking with sounds and objects rather than thinking about them. Sound summons the listening body along with its conceptual allies and it’s the power of thought to reflect on these echo’s with speed and playfulness without having the need to look over ones shoulder at cultural and literary theory.
