     Say what?

     Performance, Memory and Writing

Writing by necessity occurs in a different time-frame than the primary action and experience. Performing at any expertise level puts an exclusive demand on attention. In exploratory forms of performance, the structuring and executing of materials occur in the compressed time-frame of the now and leave behind a distorted sense of time and incomplete memories of the activities and inner processes. With this intervention the experiential as well as the reflective are juxtaposed in a compressed time-span and provide a substrate for exchange and reflection by the conference participants.
